Paranoid Marvin
My first Hackintosh was made of bits of PCs friends and family didn't want anymore (old P4, Geforce 5) and it actually worked quite well. Nearly 100%, in fact, just missing QE/CI. It worked fine till it blew up, that was. I've finally gathered the money together to build my own new PC. It has: - E4400 Core 2 Duo - Abit LG95C motherboard (Intel 945GC chipset) - 1GB DDR2 533mhz RAM - Nvidia FX7100GS (128mb with Turbo Cache) - 80GB Seagate Barracuda SATAII - IDE CD-RW drive (really old!) - Belkin Wireless PCI card (Ralink RT61) I tried to install the 10.4.8 Jas DVD I had lying around (worked fine on my old hack!). But after installing, I get a kernel panic instantly after the bootloader has passed. The panic is in an odd format, not one I am used to seeing, and gives very little away! I have tried unplugging the video card, wi-fi card and any hardware I can to try and sort the problem, but nothing seems to be making a difference!!! Please, help a Mac user in need! I have seen plenty of people with 945GC chipsets working 100%, why is mine any different?
