uphuck 10.4.8_1.4i r2 [hangs a little in to boot]

hi, my first post on this forum so here goes


first my laptop specs:


acer aspire 1683WLMI

intel centrino 1.7 (or mobile whatever u wana call it [sse2])

1 gig ram (2x 512 sticks pc2700)

ati 9700 mobile (64 meg)

80 gig hdd (osx only, no other os)

ok here goes, i got 2 different versions of osx 10.4.6 which installed but then wouldnt boot up after install, then i got hold of uphucks 10.4.9 1.4i R2 which also installed fine (i think i selected the right options in the instal menu) but after install the hd wouldnt boot osx up jsut got flashing cursor, used a partition manager and gparted live cd to ensure the boot flag was set and still not luck, help please, if i got to re-instal and someone could tell me which options i should install i would be greatful, thx in advance.




ok i decided to re-install it again, can someone tell me which options i should select for my system, vga etc, thx.




after install i managed to get it to try and boot, did this by when installing osx going in to disk utilitys and under psrtition then options use the master boot option.


but now i have another problem, using -v to watch boot process it doesnt get very far, the output is shown below, if anyone can help i would be greatful, after that it just hangs:
