davecruz
Ok guys, so I've done a lot of research and as a last resort am making a post of my own. I hope that with the given information someone will be able to help me get osx86 going natively. Here's the situation... I have a Mac OSx86 Build 8f1099 iso that has been patched with all the Maxxus stuff. I can get this to install correctly in VMWare when I mount the image with Daemon Tools but I can't seem to get it to install natively. Untouched, once it gets past the Darwin loader, the background image comes up along with the error: "You need to restart your computer. Hold the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button." This error always comes up unless I boot in verbose mode (-v). I've also tried safe mode (-x) and single user mode (-s). In verbose mode I get the following panic error: (I took a screenshot) http://dpart.net/misc/IMG_1503.jpg I've tried loading the different kernels (mach_kernel, mach_kernel.sse2, mach_kernel.nonx, mach_kernel.orig) and none of them works any differently. I think (because of my hardware) that mach_kernel.orig is the one I should be using since it is for SSE3 CPUs with NX/XD support. My computer specs are: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Venice Core) 1 gb ddr400 ram SATA 160 gb hd Asus A8N-E Motherboard (nforce 4 chipset) Radeon X700 Pro dvd drives Any help on getting this to install natively would be greatly appreciated. pumafi
I have the same problem... But I noticed you have Sata HDD. The HCL said, there is no driver for SATA at A8N-E. I have this motherboard too but not SATA HDD. So there is some other problem.
