Hi guys,

First of all THANK you for your great support... and for making my computer running MacOsX 10.4.8

After a lot of search I managed to get everything to work (even my old Radeon 7500 with Quartz extreme Support), except my audio device.

The sound card of my laptop is Yamaha AC-XG (VEN 8086/ DEV 2485).

I have sound on my laptop, but when I play an audio file it keeps stopping and starting again randomly (every 5-10 seconds). Is this related with the codec or something?

I changed the appleAC97audio.kext file several times with other downloaded files... trying to different things (like putting the device_id in info kext files) but nothing, the situation remains the same.

The OS doesn't recognize the audio device ("no buit-in audio") and when I open the audio MIDI device, the default output is set to AC97 audio (PCM) and it writes "audio output is not supported".

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks
