I have installed Mac OS X 10.4.8 (SSE 2-SSE 3 AMD INTEL...) in this machine: P4 1.7GHZ Motherboard QDI Platinix 2 Nvidia GeForce 2 MX400 768 MB RAM DDR HD 40 GB IDE ATA( in this disk is installed Mac Os X) HD 160 GB ATA S.O Linux(Ubuntu) ..... All is right ,but when I am ready to enter to Mac Os , a error message appears on my screen(with the grey apple background): "You need to restart your computer".... And when i do -v , I new screen appears with this: Loading HFS file...etc.. Loading HFS file..... .... ... So I haven't found any error messages. Nexus™ uk Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 hi i have the same problem here, my specs are Toshiba Satellite 2410 Mobile Pentium 4 1.9ghz NVIDIA Geforce4 420 go 768mb ram ddr Seagate 60gb hdd 5400rpm (44gb for Vista (NTFS), 12gb for OS X (Mac OS X Extended Journal)) installation goes fine on full resolution (1024x768, so i guess nvidia driver is working) i checked out -v before i deleted the partition and it gave a loginwindow error, i think the directory was "system/library/coreservices/loginwindow.kext" i found this HFS+ explorer and i was wondering if i could somehow replace the files that i might need to get the boot working? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60912-trying-to-start-up-mac-os-x/#findComment-433042 Share on other sites More sharing options...

Try to find out the drivers for it then go to your windows(xp or vista) desktop then download MacDrive, the hackintosh harddrive will appear, then put the drivers in the Extensions folder then reinstall Mac OSX WITHOUT formatting the hackintosh hard drive...
