goofy
I installed JAS 10.4.8 updated to Kookal 10.4.10 No USB Patch no Jmicron Patch. Only Realtek, JJcool X19x0, NTFS Support Azalia(i hope this isright) The System runs very good, exept Sound. All is recognized exect Sound as mentionend, had to Edit Radeonx1000.kext with the right id for my X1900, now QE and CI is enabled. My big Problem is that my DVD drves make Problems. Sometimes they crash my whole System if i leave a disk in the drive. This Problem ocurs especially with my NEC 3530, my Pionneer 111 is more robust, he dont crash the system when i have a disk in there for alonger time. He only crashes the System first time i try to burn a disk, for the moment it seems stable. My NEC is connected with a SATA converter, my Pioneer hangs as Master on the Jmicron IDE Channel. I did not modify anything for the Jmicron, just set in Bios to AHCI, and OSX recognizes it. Anybody have Ideas, it is the same on 10.4.9. The Problem was mentioned before but there is no solution Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60850-dvd-drive-problem-on-p35-ich9r/ Share on other sites
madhias
I have exactly the same Problem with 10.5.5 with my Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S, i have a P965 chipset. When the disc is too long mounted, i can`t unmount it and system crashes, shutdown doesn`t work, i have to switch off the power.
