dsc106
Everytime I launch iMovie or iDVD '08 (just installed iLife '08) i get the error that the application quit unexpectedly, and I can't seem to get around this. All the other iLife 08 apps work fine, and these two apps worked fine in the iLife 06 version... I've tried rebooting and still the same problem. Also - I have tried deleting iApps.plist and other plist files, removing the iDVD and iMovie folders, clearing the iLife 06 stuff and reinstalling. Still the same problems with iDVD and iMovie... grrr... maybe I didn't clear enough? I just want this to work! I am running an AMD Hackintosh, tubgirl 10.4.9 ... no other problems, and all other apps such as Final Cut Studio 2 and Adobe CS3 Master Collection work fine. I even have iWork '08 installed (it says it needs 10.4.10, but with Pacificist you can extract it and install it on as old as 10.4.8). Anyone, any ideas on why iDVD and iMovie '08 won't run and give this error? Any way to solve this? Thanks so much! jbellanca
Not sure, but I can verify that I also have that problem with iDVD, but iMovie 08 works fine... squeeks
the issue with idvd has to do with themes from older installs, you have to throw away all of your old IDVD stuff, just spotlight idvd and throw everything in the trash, and reinstall idvd, imovie, im not sure about Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60808-idvd-imove-08-app-quit-unexpectedly-on-launch/#findComment-432665 Share on other sites
