like, I've searched around

but I'm looking for a thread that has prebuilds (not, like, dell systems. {censored} I'll build myself, but that are recommended builds, with the mobos n {censored}) that work pretty well

I saw them last time I was interested in hackintosh (over a year ago)

but now, it's all changed I guess?

It seems like all I can find are really expensive Intel motherboards in the threads I've found

but, I'm looking to build something cheap. I live in England, and motherboards are a lot more expensive here.

I don't want a super good motherboard, and I don't mind spending a lot of time getting OS x working correctly (I'm an avid linux user)

although I'd prefer to get a mobo that works out of the box with no patches, but, that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

there's also the fact that I'm 16, not rich, and starting college soon so I have a lot of better {censored} I could spend the extra £60 on for the mobo

so yeah

looking for some suggestions for a good build, but one that has a reasonably priced mobo (£0 - £50 range. Not one of these P5 mobos that are £130, would rather just save my money and buy a proper mac)

I don't mind buying an Intel processor, even though I'd rather go for AMD. but hey, whatever, it's cool if they work better (which I could imagine them doing so) with some homebrew os x :)

and don't bother saying stuff like "search for it", because I already have

no need to spam my thread with worthless {censored}, I've read it all before I'm sure of it

thanks in advance.

I guess no one knows, haha

well

another question, not going to make another thread for it.. it'd seem like I was spamming :P

does anyone have OSx running on an acer aspire 5630 laptop? (intel core 2 duo, 120gb ata hdd, intel 950 integrated graphics, dunno the audio/enthernet models)

looked in the x84 hackintosh wiki or whatever, couldn't find my laptop

and I done a search before, I didn't find anything

I think it's using an acer grapevine mobo. I forgot the exact name, but it's something like that (remember it from cpu-z)

Hi, i got Mac OS x86 working on my Acer Aspire 5633Wlmi, but i go no ethernet and no WiFi, they are in progress for the Intel 3945ABG drivers, but they are not there yet.

I used the JaS 10.4.8 SSE2-SSE3 & PPF1-PPF2

I got a tri-boot running: Mac OS X, Win XP, Ubuntu Linux.

I don't like it that the ethernet or WiFi doesn't work, so no network capabilities

Okay, I actually used Mac OS X 10.4.8 with PPF1 and PPF2 on the Acer Aspire 5630-6288, and I had no wifi or audio. Ethernet was detected (I am unsure if it actually works). When I used the GMA 950 Patch, the screen resolution got to 1280x800, and using the power management bundle, the battery was detected. I tried the Intel/PRO 3945 WiFi driver, but I couldn't get it to work. I am going to wait for an OSX86 version of Leopard final in October and try that. Hopefully by then everything will work.

Hope this helps!
