primal Posted August 19, 2007 Share Posted August 19, 2007 Hey all, I've just successfully (and quite happily!) got OSx86 running on my Toshiba Tecra M2 - 1.5GHz Pentium M Centrino with a Geforce Go5200. I'll update the wiki sometime soon, but for now, I was hoping for some help on getting the video card going with CI/QE. I installed from the JaS 10.4.8/8.8.1 ISO. I've been doing quite a bit of work to try and get it going, but so far, no dice. I've got the device and vendor ID (0x032810de), and put it in the NVDANV30.kex , NVDAResman.kext, GeForce.kext and Titan.kext files, but unfortunately that has 't helped. If the wrong device IDs are in there, it simply boots to the soft are rendered desktop. With the device ID in, I get a BSOD (or the equivalent an way ). Basically, I was hoping someone would have some advice on how to get it running. By all accounts it should be able to work, but I'm just not quite there yet it seems. Any ideas? If not, the other thing I was hoping for an insight into was the keymap. The default keymaps don't seem to work as expected, so I expect I'll have to develop my own. I was wondering if there was a tool out there for this? If not, developers, could someone please tell me which /dev nodes correspond to the input devices? In Linux it's /dev/input/whatever, but apparently not in OSX - makes it somewhat hard to capture the actual signals being sent to the OS! Any work I put in will of course be shared . Cheers! From what I can tell there are 2 different models for Geforce FX Go 5200 cards. One has the vendor ID (0x032810de) and the other (0x032410de). People have been able to get (0x032410de) to work with full CI/QE support. I have managed to get full resolution support on my (0x032810de) with MacVidia_beta2_1_installer. I hope that helps and if you figure something out, please post results. I have an m200 stuck at 1024x768 and the macvidia site is down (permemently?) I've tried an older version but no joy.
