gimpyviper
Some people have been able to get it to work by replacing applesmbios.kext Doing this didn't fix it for me right away, but now that I have gotten it to work, it won't work without the different applesmbios.kext There's a copy of it on this forum but when I use that one it breaks About This Mac causing the finder to crash. Instead I'm using the one I got off rapidshare by searching on google. We're not supposed to post any files remotely related to pirating so if you want to get the one I am using google applesmbios.kext and select the third link down (a link to Rapidshare) Install it as you would any other .kext file, back up your original first of course and I take no responsibility if you hose your system, do this at your own risk. Good luck. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60473-adobe-cs3-design-premium/#findComment-429805 Share on other sites

gimpyviper
OK replacing the SMBIOS kext didn't work for my computer at home so I went out and found the appropriate "patch" If you want it, PM me for the link to the torrent. Also, now I need one for Master Collection (I use Premiere) Anyone know of a "patch" for it? tha_toadman
gimpyviper, I just discovered the 'about this mac' crash. And yeah, I replaced applesmbios.kext with the one found here. I appreciate your info about the newer one and will give that a try. gimpyviper
Thanks for your tips I've replace the file and now all work fine..... Thanks... thank you.. Wish we could figure when it would work and when it wouldn't so we could make one that would always work. Evil_Cartman
Some people have been able to get it to work by replacing applesmbios.kext Just want to thank you gimpyviper. It was really helpful and easy. All of CS3 apps are working good on my computer, but when I installed Premiere CS3 it crashes every time on launch without any messages (but with crashlog files). By replacing AppleSMBIOS.kext I've solved that problem, now Premiere starts fine. I'm totally happy.
