!Shaun!
I recently tried out os x86 mac on my dell pc, its a dimension 4700 so hardware support cudn't be better but i have two hard disk drives both maxtor satas, mac os is 160gb and files 200gb both have been formatted to HFS format. Now i want xp on the other HD the 200gb one so i downloaded hirens boot cd formatted the HD to NTFS but both xp and vista boot disks have a problem with it, they say its not a bootable volume for windows (this is not a windows partition, format it to one). The partition is NTFS which is a windows one, does anyone know why im getting this problem? Also... has anybody managed to get there formatted mac os drive back to windows and booting? Many thanks, shaun. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60337-hard-drive-volume-problems-cant-boot-xp/ Share on other sites
