x03n
What kind of software updates are safe and/or not safe to installing my hackintosh? Right now I am running 10.4.10. For updates showing I have some final cut hd 3 updates that dont require a reboot. I would assume thoes are ok to download, but I also has an audio update and a security update (intel) that do require a reboot. I am sure kernal updates are not suggested unless they have been release by the fine developers here, but what about eveything else? If there is a FAQ someone can point me to that would be fine also... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60216-software-updates/ Share on other sites

Lt. Xenodite
If you're using Intel, I think everything (except kernel as you said) is safe, but for AMD, I wouldn't get combo updates unless you get the edited AMD version from torrents.
