Whats up, just wanted to share how i went about getting Vista and uphuck 10.4.9 on a P5B Deluxe, i've seen various threads on how people configured them but it worked out a bit different for me.

The hard part was getting both vista and osx on the same hard drive. I tried a few different combinations. Installing Vista first then using OSX to format a seperate partition gave HFS+ errors. Installing OSX first and leaving an empty partition didnt work (Vista wouldnt install on it). Anyway, heres what i did.

In the bios set the SATA to compatible. (disabled the jmicron controller, but i dont know if this is necessary, just dont use it.)

Boot the uphuck disk. In disk utility I formatted a partition with one Mac Journaled partition and one partition of free space.

I rebooted WITHOUT installing OSX on that partition.

booted the Vista disk and installed Vista on the second partition.

Restarted and booted the uphuck disk installing 10.4.9 on the original mac journaled partition. I had an Nvidia card so i installed the Titan drivers, core components and the marvell network drivers (use the second port).

At this point both OSs are installed on the same disk and you can do your preferred bootloader. Works great, fast as hell and with uphuck 10.4.9 ;)

* edit *

Just did this registry edit to Vista to allow AHCI SATA support.
