stephensaw Posted August 12, 2007 Share Posted August 12, 2007 Hi, I'm new, I had doing some reading on the forum about installing on USB pendrive, currently had nothing helped. (currently the search doesn't return any of my query) I had a AMD 3200, and my machine support USB booting. I have a 4GB pendrive and 10.4.7 installation DVD. I couldn't found a IDE drive so I decided want to install on my pendrive. Well, I had formated my pendrive with HP utility to bootable, and I reboot my machine with the DVD inside my rom, and use the default installation settings (very first screen, in the DOS), it then show the gray screen, with an apple and a loading indicator, after a while, it shows a small no entry sign in the middle of the screen, then my dvd rom, pendrive and cpu just sit there quitely.
