Tim_
Hey, first, I'm sorry that I've start this topic, I know that there are a lot of posts about this but most of them are for nVidia, and not for my ATi card. It's an ATi Mobility Radeon x600. If anyone has a little experience with installing QE/CI for ATi please help me, or link me back to a topic where the solution is. Thanks , Tim Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59711-enable-qeci-for-ati/ Share on other sites

Tim_
tried diaboliks ati mobility driver ? http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/iATi.html I've installed it, but nothing changed. In system profiler there's still standing Not supported by both QE and CI. Is there something I need to change at the setting or something? Koffein
look this up in info.plist in Mobility.kext <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x000010de&0x0000ffff 0x00001002&0x0000ffff</string> add your id in that string. then chmod -R 755 /path/to/kext chown -R root:wheel /path/to/kext maybe this will work //Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59711-enable-qeci-for-ati/#findComment-425238 Share on other sites
Tim_
Thank for your reply . I though it was that key, but I couldn't find it, I think I overlooked, I'll check it again when I booted the notebook. But must I replace the whole string, cause I see different ID's with more chars then the one I have. Mine's 3150... Edit: In the Mobility.kext / info.plist is that key indead in the file. I downloaded the Mobility installer (the wrong one I guess). But how can I install the kext manually? Allright, read this artical. My device-id is 0x3150, my vendor-id is 0x1002, so then it becomes 0x31501002. But how can I install the kext? Omfg, how blind can you be, the kext is just in the install-package. Anyway, I've edited the kext, and installed the package, rebooted two times, bu QE and CI are still not supported . Any suggestions?
