peterg
hey guys i have just got a gigabyte P35-DQ6 motherboard with two 320GB seagates. i had hoped in striping the drives and installing windows vista/xp and osx on them. i set up the striped drive and installed vista ultimate - no problems at all. however JAS 10.4.8 OSX didn't see the striped drive. is there any hope of getting this to work ? presently i can only seem to get the drives seen by mac/xp if i turn on ahci on the BIOS, and the two drives are seperate - i can't write to the boot partition of the other, so i have to change the default boot drive in the BIOS settings to boot into vista/xp any ideas ? badge
OS X doesn't see most mobo hardware RAIDs. Your best hope is an OS X compatible PCI-Express RAID card. Or you can use Disk Utility's Software RAID, though i'm not sure how that would fare with windows.
