Works BEAUTIFULLY but trouble with DVD drive ribbon

I cant believe my luck when trying this for the first time. I hadn't realised that I needed to use the HD ribbon on my DVD drive in order for it to install.

Once this was swapped it worked a beaut. All software is perfect and fast.

If I could get my RME DIGI96/8 PST card working (old PCI soundcard) id be in heaven but its not supported.

asus a8n-sli mobo

asus 6600gt gpu (twin screens)

using an external USB sound device

 

just for laughs tried out a few audio apps and final cut studio v2. everything so far has worked great
