Before i murder windows and welcome hackintosh

I was wondering if this pc (dell optiplex GX260) will work:and my mobo chipset is the 845G chipset.im using the onboard video(or graphic's whatever you want to call it)card, if there is more info you need post and ill see if i can get itoh yea if it can whats the latest osx86 it can run (smothly)

 

and if it helps i have a 512 and a 128 ram card

 

and im new so if i posted in the wrong place please tell me

I have a very similar computer. I whent out and bought a Nivida fx 5200(128 mb) and a dvd drive and got the broadcom 440x. Every thing works and I use it as a full time mac.

so the on board ethernet and video will not work?

 

and what version are you using 10.4.7?

ok so i read here

 

and i dont have the Nvidia fx 5200 card and someware else (cant remember how i got there) i can use the connections on my mainboard (usb, ethernet, video ect.)

 

but I want to know now can i run osx86 witout this bios upgrade (sounds risky)

 

im a noob im only 13 and if i messup my pc then im in deep kaka

 

i need as much help from anyone that can help
