AlCapone Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 (edited) Greetings for all! I'm one of the thousands who're trying to install the Mac OS X on an Intel's processor. Mi laptop was a Toshiba Satellite M40X-129, adquired on Germany. Basically, i have this: - Pentium M (a.k.a. Centrino, with the wireless) processor, 1.6 Ghz, 533 Mhz bus, SSE, SSE2 - 1024 MB of RAM DDR PC-2700 - Ati Mobility Radeon x600 Pci-Express 128 MB - 80 GB Hard drive (ata) - DVD+/-RW Dual Layer - Widescreen Monitor (1200*800 on native resolution) I have the correct image of the Marklar-Tiger (checksum e78fe52e30a1f8c5b29d4b7932a16c5e *Marklar-Tiger.iso) and i've already patched the image using ppf-o-matic3 with Bender-Marklar-Tiger-patch-Test3.ppf. Then, i set on Windows using Partition Magic, one partition with only free space and without format. I supossed that i'm ready to install Tiger now. (By the way, after set the partitions, i must to fix Grub to could have Ubuntu and Windows too at the same time). I put the dvd, the Darwin's system starts and i can see all great. In the menu, i can choose to read the License Agreement but the problem is just here! When i try to install the system. None partition appears. Then, i try to use the Disk Utility to format the particion that i've already selected but i note that i could't do it. I try almost all the combinations but it's a waste of time. Kind of frustrated, i goes into Ubuntu and i try to format the partition with AC8 (or whatever was) the Darwin filesystem, using cfdisk (as root). I try once again to install but i could't. Now, i'm really tired and all of my tricks it doesn't work. Please, what can i do? What am I doing wrong? mortis Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 prueba formateando tu espacio libre destinado a OSX como fat32 (en windows). Luego, al iniciar con el dvd de instalación selecciona esa partición con diskutilities y reformatea a hfsplus. luego instala. pd: por qué exponerte a poner tu nombre y lugar de contacto real si usas algo ilegal? te sugiero editar...... I suggest to you I agree with what i understand of this, but I still am a little lost as to what you do about this? mortis Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 As for the english version: try formatting your install partition in windows as FAT32. Initiate Install DVD and within diskUtilities select the Fat32 partition and reformat it to HFSPlus. Install to it the rest is for the other guy!
