Bizmarke
Hey all, first things first. I must say there is an extreme amount of infomation on this site to pull from and props to this whole project and authors of the diferent release out there. Having been a Mac user since childhood this whole thing really is some thing I would like to get running. But anyway I do have the current Uphuck 10.4.9 AMD install dvd v1.4a on DVD and have been stuck trying to get to the install screen. I have tri d various switches for verbose etc. But I keep hanging with an error about the V A 8237 SATA then boom im "Waiting for Root Device" I then tried to -v -x and it goes on to complain about IOUSBUSER etc. Currently I have one 300gig Fj Sata drive on channel 0 with one 14 Gig IDE drive set to Master and one DVDR set to salve. I have check in the bios about the SATA/PATA setting but there on none on this Asus board I have. Just wondering giving my current specs which I will list below should I try a different release or just throw in the towel? Bizmarke
Well, I looked and looked but Asus will not allow me to change anything to do with SATA except to disable the bootrom and boot order *EDIT Just a quick update untill I can find more info and do a little more searching I gonna put the desktop on hold for a bit. So I have decided to drag out my good ol' Dell Inspiron 2650 and slamed in -Mac_OS_X_10_4_9_Intel_SSE3_[JaS_10_4_8_AMD_Intel_SSE2_SSE3_with_PPF1_PPF2_iso dvd i grabbed last night and it started right up! Right now it's installing and has 25mins to finish so I will let you all know how it goes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59480-cant-install-on-my-desktop-so-ill-try-my-laptop/#findComment-423841 Share on other sites
