daven1986
Hi there, I have read through all of the threads about this pretty much, and have tried so many things. 1) NVinject / NVinject + EDID info = doesn't work 2) natit = doesn't work 3) titan = doesn't work I am running 10.4.8 on an AMD opteron 170, 2gb ram, nvidia 6800 GPU. The card is detected fine and it runs with QE and all that, but only on the VGA out. The DVI out doesn't work at all. The screens are both identical. I am about to try natit with the EDID info but im not holding my breath. Please help me fix this, it is the last thing that needs doing. Thanks Daven1986 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59402-so-close-please-help-dual-screen/ Share on other sites
roxen
I get my GeForce FX 5200 dual screen only working with one DVI cable and one VGA cable, not with a DVI -> VGA adapter or with a VGA KVM switch. You need Natit to use dual screens. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59402-so-close-please-help-dual-screen/#findComment-423059 Share on other sites

roxen
am using natit with EDID That should be the way to go, but I just bought a DVI cable because my screens have VGA and DVI input. Common Sense
get yourself an adapter and run vga on your dvi out and get the version of natit that supports dual monitors. daven1986
i do have an adaptor. both screens are the same. one is on the vga out and that works, one is connected via an adaptor to the dvi and it doesn't work. it works up to the grey logo (ie i can see the grey logo on both screens) then it turns off. i am using natit 0.01, am just about to try it with the neo installer. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59402-so-close-please-help-dual-screen/#findComment-423086 Share on other sites
RyanThaDude29
I'm using Natit 0.01 for my dual-screen and it works great for my 7600GT. Both my displays are analog using the DVI2VGA adapter. It worked when using 10.4.8 through 10.4.10 which I'm using now on my Hac. All I did was make sure I used the right nVidia kexts for the kernel then just copied over Natit. daven1986
would you mind uploading your nvidia kexts? i'd like to see if they'll work. neo installer made a black screen Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59402-so-close-please-help-dual-screen/#findComment-423104 Share on other sites

RyanThaDude29
I didn't change my natit.kext one bit. It was placed in as-is. Also my kexts are for 10.4.10 so they would not work for you. Have you tried DiaboliK's installer? Check out the Natit forum here. Also check out DiaboliK's site for installers here.
