Install OSx on ext.USB HDD and problem by boot

Hi,i am install Mac OSx 10.4.8 Jas installation,on my external USB HDD and the installation work perfectly fine and all will be Ok, i make a two partitions in Utilita--DiskUtility-Erase,then i make a format MacMacExt(journaled), also all steps from guide,but when installation completed is and computer tray to boot OS x from HDD ,hapend following:1.Boot Darwin OSx86….(and after 3 sec)2.Then i say a gray screen with apple logo and rotatable circle under the logo, and will not booting away from this step…Have someone a solution for this problem???Please help me and email to me a solution if you have.....

Examples and guides, and i folow this steps, but will not boot....

Sorry i forgot, im using

Toshiba Satelite M60,

2,13 GHz,

2GB of RAM,

Intel Graphic 128 MB,

CD-DVD-RW

etc....
