amused Posted August 6, 2007 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Anyone had a successful install of an 'x86 distro on a Vaio v505d (P4M 2.4ghz/ATI Radeon Mobility/unknown G wireless)? I saw some postings of successful v505 installs early 10.4 releases from 2005/2006 but have not seen any recent postings. I have uphucks 10.4.9 1.4i distro but it keeps on crashing on boot (acpi issue I believe causes a kernel panic). Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to work or a different version to use? I would prefer not to have to download another version but I keep on reading good things about JaS 10.4.8. But have some problems: touchpad doesn't works, no solved yet Keyboard works after change add kextunload/load to ApplePS2Controller.kext Ethernet works after change a IONetworkingFamily.kext(attach it) ATI 9200 doesn't support QE and CI And doesn't support sleep mode.
