MacPhreek
Hi people, After giving up on my Hackintosh some months ago, I decided to give it another run. Initially, I installed JaS 10.4.4 with the 10.4.5 update, but I recently downloaded 10.4.8 from Demonoid. Anyway, I installed it and everything went fine. It got to the part where it says "The software was installed successfully" and then it rebooted. Well, when it went to start up off the newly installed OS, I get the gray screen with the white Apple in the middle and the little rotating thing. It rotates for a while, and then stops. When it stops, the hard drive light gets stuck on, like maybe it's looking for software. I don't know. So, how do I view what it's doing as it boots, is there a key I have to hold down to make it do that or? Any help that you all can provide would be AWESOME! Thanks in advance for your help guys (and gals too). -Chris AKA MacPhreek Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59179-installed-jas-1048-now-it-wont-boot-help/ Share on other sites
Maximus Arelius
I think you might have downloaded the Jas 10.4.8 1.4 Beta DVD am i correct? That happens in the beta DVD for some people and for others it just works. Im guessing in your case its not working. Try the Jas 10.4.8 SSE2/SSE3 Install DVD or Upchuck 10.4.9 install DVD and see if that works for you. Im also looking at your signature and it seems like your wont be able to have QE/CI supported. Good Luck let us know how it turns out.
