dcook
Either my mobo or graphics card in my hack died. I dunno if it's the card or the AGP slot, but I'm using it as an excuse to replace both. I'm looking at getting an ASUS K8V-MX/S mobo, and an XFX GeForce 6200 GPU. Looking at the HCL for 10.4.8 (although I'll be using 10.4.9; I'm assuming it doesn't matter much), the graphics card looks like it'll work fine, but the audio is reported as not working for that mobo (ADI AD1888). What are the chances of me getting that audio working with a patch at all? I noticed that Upuck 1.4a includes an audio driver (can't remember what it was atm), would that help? If you can recommend anything better, please do. Board requirements: Socket 754 AGP Micro-ATX Thanks. Synaesthesia
If the wiki says the audio doesn't work, it probably doesn't work. You can still try a USB audio solution though.
