kchase
I have a fresh install of uphuck 1.4i and have got everything functioning 100%, now it is time to work on some cosmetics. under "about this mac" my processor is labeled "unknown" and I would like it to read " 2.4 Xeon Quad-Core" or what ever it is supposed to read. and I am starting the over clocking in the next day or so, and would like it to read accurate then also. does anyone know how to fix this. p.s. i am sorry if this is covered, but its hard to search when we are limited to 4 character searches and i need the term "mac" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59021-about-this-mac-labeling/ Share on other sites
BJMoose
If you do a search (either here or google) for "aboutthismac.strings" and "localizable.strings" you'll find what you're looking for. Aboutthismac.strings controls what you see in 'About this Mac'. Localizable.strings enables you to edit your system profiler info. Hope this helps.
