Hello

Im currently trying to install OSx86 on a dv2555nr (basically a dv2000z), my specs:

120gb hard drive (linux labels it as sda so i assume its sata) (its partitioned 45 gigs for vista, 15 for mac osx, 45 for an extended linux partition with logical ones and 6 for another hidden recovery partition and some megs for each partition)

1 gb of ram

MCP51 nVidia Graphics Card, MCP51 nVidia Sound and MCP51 nVidia Network Card

Dell Wireless 1390

HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N DVD+R/-R/RW (writes dvd and cd)

I have and uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 image and it wont get past the counter. I can press any key but that will only re-start the counter. If i let the counter finishes it complains about com.apple.boot.plist not being there. I have tried pressing F8 and doing -v (more errors if i let the counter finish) -legacy (nothing) rd=disk0sX (i have tried many s* and disk*). If i press enter after putting -legacy and then press a key to stop the counter it seems to be a different error but it vanishes quickly. I am currently dowloading version 1.4i to try that one. I dont get any grey screen because i get pass the countdown. The cd isn't the problem, i have tested on another laptop and it gets to the installer just fine. The cd is in the very first boot option. Any help would be deeply apreciated.

Thanks

PS: Sorry for the lousy english.

I would appreciate any help on this, as I have been through numerous problems and read most of the tutorials etc. However, now my I seem to have hit a dead end...

I have partitioned the 40GB HD into 2 partitions with Vista on the 1st Partition & OSX 10.4.9 on the other. At present the 2nd partition is active and goes into the Darwin loader with the boot: prompt and although it is not crashed, it does not allow me to enter any switches and keeps coming back to the prompt, when I hit Enter.

I installed the with the Intel extensions SSE2 & SSE3 and unchecked the AMD extensions. I took all the other options with their defaults.
