edgarlemos
Hi friends! Unfortunately i don't have enought money to buy a macbook pro, but i want to test/work in .Mac format I'm a bit noob in this project, so that's why i need users help. I have a darwins 10.4.6 osx version, i think (Darwin/x86 v5.0.132, this appears on boot dvd) I've tried many ways to install it but i failed, i tried to create 2 partitions, 1 mac, 1 ms-dos format, with the program that comes with the osx86, But when, after instaling OSX, when rebooting, an "b0 error" appears, I don't know what that means, but i wanted the easiest way to achieve this. I prefer to have xp + osx. regards edgarlemos Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58811-installing-mac-on-toshiba-old-2450-101/ Share on other sites

naddy69
If you are partitioning your drive with Disk Manager from the OS X install DVD, then you have to click the Options button at the bottom of the partitioning screen. Then check Master Boot Record format. The default is GUID which only works on real Macs. Then partition, format and install. This is why I always partition using Partition Magic or something like that. Partition, leave it unformatted, then boot the OS X install DVD. Then just ERASE the partition you want to install to and away you go.
