aznmx
Hi there I searched around for this problem and found no answers.. I have a Sony Vaio desktop Pentium 4 3.2Ghz with HT technology 1.5 gb RAM Geforce 8600 GT SATA Maxtor 200gb hard drive with proper mac partitions my installation was successful, however i got the HFS+ Partition error when i tried to boot up into mac osx for the first time i fixed that problem by redoing the MBR and now every time i boot up i get the darwin osx86 boot menu like normal and it asks me what partition to boot to. everything works fine until it tried to "Adding CPU1" and then it says failed with code blah blah and afterwards it states: "No valid CPUs returned by ACPI! It's possible your BIOS does not think your system should be throttled and therefore did now return any available power states, or maybe your CPU only supports one other power state than maximum" it states this over and over again about 4 times maybe.. not sure what the problem is.. i will post more details if necessary does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks I have screenshots for reference Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58731-first-time-boot-up-failed-using-osx-1049-v14i/ Share on other sites
aznmx
update: i reinstalled and did not install speedstep, it got all that CPU throttling junk fixed but it stops at: "Adding browse domain local." before that is says Couldn't read user-specified Computer Name; using default blah blah and then is says login window application started and it hangs at "adding browse domain local" anyone have this kind of problem?
