cyberbooster
Hi all, I have a macbook in my hand with "only" 1GB of ram, I would like to upgrade it to 2GB... should I buy an Apple So-DIMM or any SoDIMM PC-5300 667Mhz should go fine? same thing for imacs?? I found very expensive buying ram on the Apple store, even if I buy the best ones on the market.... sarahbau
Macs are often very picky about RAM. That doesn't mean you have to get "Apple" RAM, but I would recommend getting one of the brands that they use. Apple uses Micron, Samsung, and Hynix memory. You can buy Micron RAM from Crucial, as Crucial is owned by Micron.
