kukku Posted August 1, 2007 Share Posted August 1, 2007 i tried to install Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2] but every time i tried to do that i got this error extension"com.apple.driver.appleusbaudio"has no kernal dependency still waiting for root device so i thought its my logitech easy call kbd mouse combo which is usb wireless with built in usb audio but when i discinnecet that than i get this apple hda.kext failed to load unable to locate layout-id properly still waiting for root device dont know what to do system config : e6300 c2d 500 gb sata hdd igb ram nvidia 6600gt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
boinkytwo Posted August 2, 2007 Share Posted August 2, 2007 if you have window xp install cd, boot from it. create a partition for your osx, but dont format it yet with neither ntfs or fat32. leave it as it is, meaning it is raw and unformatted. then boot from your osx install dvd and re-install osx. see if it may help. if you have partitioning boot cd, then use that instead of the windows xp cd.
