elementz
hi everybody, I just installed jas 10.4.8 in a virtual machine on my box running ubuntu. problem is, it is darn slow. I guess, unless there will be something like vmware tools working inside osx86 guest os, it won't be usable inside a production environment. Now my question: somewhere in the forum I read, that people were trying to port vmware tools or try to run vmware tools for linux under darwin. I wonder if there as been any progress on this matter? What else could be done, to speed up osx inside a vm? what about gfx drivers? thx for your replies. regards, elemenz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58643-vmware-tools-already-working/ Share on other sites
krayziedev
The problem is not so much driver related - the primary issue with OSX/Darwin running under VMWare is that the idle loop isn't recognized. Therefore when you're 99% idle, your host will be processing these useless idle instructions.
