ICQ 3.4 - sending file to ICQ on XP - behind a router

2 questions:

 

1. How can i send files, like a jpeg, to a friend in my list using xp version of icq?

 

I am behind a router (linksys wrt54gs) ... i just google it but dont find anything.

 

when i start sending a file, my friend on the other side even doesnt see, that i am sending a file. i have already played with the preferences in security and network, just as custom p2p ports but without success.

 

btw, in xp (icq 2003pro) i use ports 20000 to 20019, and this range is forwarded in the router. but i cant put this settings in icq 3.4 on my mac... ???

2. When i am sending a file over MSN 6.02, the transferrate is so slow ... but i have a broadband ADSL 6000 ... this means 700KB/s Down and 70KB/s Up ... do i have to change settings for more speed? I know that MSN Server is very slow at sending files... already know that problem in XP ... therefor i use in xp icq for sending files.
