I just got the uphuck v1.3 dvd and I tried it on my machine. I have installed osx86 on other machines, so I kinda know how to get around some things.

I booted the dvd with verbose and wasn't too surprised to see errors. It seems my USB controller is causing a waiting on root device error.

I tried using only USB 1.1 in my BIOS, but I can't disable it cause my computer doesn't have PS/2 ports. And I read a tip about disabling Legacy USB, but my BIOS doesn't have that option.

The error looks something like:

USBF: 20.823 EHCI controller unable to take control from BIOS

USBF: 20.826 AppleUSBEHCI[0x26b500]: unable to take ownership: 0xe00002be

... and there are a few more similar errors

My system is a Shuttle XPC SN27P2 w/ a nforce 550 chipset.

The manufactor of the USB chipset is Holco/Shuttle.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, I know that there is an option on the v1.3 install to use experimental nforce sata drivers. Has anyone tried installing to a sata drive with this option?

Thanks.
