charmdustio
Ok guys we have 2 scenarios on 2 separate PC's. It might not be complicated at all. Im sure im just missing some part. 1. XP was pre-installed. We put in the OSX86 tubgirl disk, made a MBR partition, installed it fine (maybe not really as it only booted once). Now when the PC boots it doesn't ask for an OS. It just shows a blank _ unless you make it boot through a DVD. I hooked up the HD to an external USB and I can see both the partitions and I've backed up the data. But how do you make the XP load now? Or have a option screen at boot up? 2. OSX installed on clean HD with 2 partitions through Disk Utility. Boots up fine, works OK. XP installed on second partition. Boots up fine, works great. Now when I restart - it loads up XP by default. Again, how do we get that option of being able to select which OS to boot? Help appreciate guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58437-osx86-xp-installed-fine-help-needed-with-booting-options/ Share on other sites
madnoh
Read up on this: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Simple_Dual_Boot Somewhere in there is a section on setting up the Darwin bootloder. Another way is to set up the boot.ini with the chain0 file (via windows).
