Not sure if this is the correct forum for this so please move it if I made the wrong choice.

I am running OSX 10.4.8 on a non apple system. I have a Seagate 3200 IDE drive in an external case connected via USB. The drive is a 200 gb drive. I erased it using the OSX disc utility and it came out as 128 gb. I can't figure out why OSX only sees the drive as 128 gb. I don't want to loose this much HD space. The drive always formatted to about 190 gb in Windows XP.

Anyone know what is going on here?
