mikelyxx
Have got things working pretty well on my Dell Latitude d620. I have Windows XP SP2 on my first partition and Uphuck v1.4i on a second partition. I'd like to get Parallels running off my pre-existing XP partition. This however was not created with Boot Camp. Is there any way to get this up an running? I've searched around and found some posts that made it sound like this is possible. If anyone has done this, I'd love to know how. This forum has been great. Regards. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58393-parallels-with-pre-existing-windows-xp-partition/ Share on other sites
mrmt32
For me when I installed parallels it detected my existing Windows Vista install as a boot camp install and it works perfectly. I have Windows Vista on one Hard Drive and OS X on a second hard drive... mikelyxx
Thanks. I found some additional posts that explain how to do this with Parallels by editing the config file. However, I still can't get it to boot. Also tried VMWare. Got closer here. Saw the initial Windows XP sceen but then got a blue screen. So close yet so far....
