Explicit Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Well, first of all as a newcommer I'd like to thank Uphuck and Semtex for all their hard work and for making this all possible. My dad's system works perfectly running a P5W DH Deluxe with e6600 cpu 2gb mem 160 ide and 320 sata etc. The only drawback he's facing atm is that the Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4i_r2 install gives one big problem and that's installing his Samsung ml-2010 laserprinter and HP printer/scanner combi both connected to usb ports. The usb ports work just fine as the external lacie drivers are reconized and work without any problem. It's also not that there are no drivers to support those printers as I've downloaded them from the hardware makers but the real problem is even weirder. Making them load. Normally I should have been asked for supplying a password but instead the vise x installer just tries to load and fades away after 1 sec without an error or any message leaving the hardware useless. I've tried to print in several programs even trying to add the printers in system preferences/printers and fax nothing to be found. I hope somebody is able to help me. Thx. ps: My 10.4.8 4gb Mac Osx version running on my pc is not giving me these driver installation problems. Maybe there is something missing out in the 1GB Uphuck version that should not have been removed? I dunno.
