LokiChaos Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 Hi I may have bust my desktop PC, havent used it much since getting my laptop so it could be that it has got its own AI and is in a strop with me or more likely ive buggered it up and need help fixing it. I want to install Mac OS X on it and with 256 Ram thought it could do with a bit more. So I booted it up to see if it worked and it did so added in the RAM turned it on - no image on the monitor. Fine so pull the new Ram out. Still no image on the moniter. Ive done everything i can think of. Tried another PSU, Graphics card even pulling it all to bits including taking the processor out (dont ask me how that would help). Ive tried the monitor on my laptop and it works but just not with the desktop - PLEASE HELP ME! Its my desperate attempt to run osx86 on an AMD processor 1.5 ghz Athlon XP. bubbaganoush Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 No point in trying to force it to work now, unless you know anything about 'patching' it to translate down SSE2 and 3 instructions down to SSE or whatever they're doing. In which case you wouldn't even be making such posts.
