SausageBoy
I get a blue screen with a cursor when I try to boot a dvd install image, does anyone know the problem? I think there was an answer in the technical faq, but the grammar was so terrible I was unable to understand it. I believe the problem is with my partition table, no? I'd be thankful for an answer. SausageBoy
Ok. The DVD image is this one: <SNIPPED> Computer specs here: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF...f56-472277.html I really don't know a lot more than you guys. It's not really my PC, I'm just borrowing it to try out osx86. It's got the integrated graphics card, either the HT or dual core processor. I DON'T have a USB keyboard, only mouse, but I don't think that explains the freezing. I'll try to give you a lengthier explanation of the problem. I boot the computer, press a button to begin to install OS X. I get a greyish screen with an apple, everything looks nice, it's reading the dvd. Then something happens, the screen turns to a soft blue color, the mouse pointer looks ordinary at first, but then turn to a spinning wheel with color. Nothing happens. The DVD isn't read, the HD isn't read, it doesn't appear to do anything, the color wheel is still spinning though. Long story short, it doesn't start the install wizard. SausageBoy
Ok, I did some more troubleshooting. Using a Win XP install disk, I cleared the partition table. I also plugged in a USB keyboard. Unfortunately, it still hangs at the same place. Is there any way to get error messages even after the kernel is done booting? I have no clue what the problem is now. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5824-blue-screen-of-death/#findComment-37123 Share on other sites
