Working OSx86 10.4.9 on Sony VGN-FS810/W

After two days on rebooting and installing, i finally got my laptop working !!!

IF YOU'RE GOING TO INSTALL OSx86 ON A LAPTOP MAKE SURE YOU GOOGLE THE "PAPERCLIP" TRICK !!!

 

I use 10.4.9 uphuck v1.2 on demon

 

Selected the following from the install dvd -

-Intel SSE2 package - for Celeron M CPU

-Universal 1 kernel

-GMA900 - for video

-Azalia - for audio

 

for lan i install intel pro/100 ve - See Tutorials (The Genius Bar) ->ethernet solution

for wireless i install Atheros AR5212 - see Tutorials (The Genius Bar) -> wireless solution (i use ubuntu live cd "Device Manager" to look for my pcisub_vendor_id and device ) you need FOUR sets of number.

I also switch the "port?" of the ethernet drivers from en0 to en1 and their intergers 0-1 and vice versa

 

I couldn't get chain0 to work so i just use acronis os selector on demon also (winxp and osx dual boot)

 

Parallels 4128 was very good much better than virtualPC (visualization - also winxp)
