i´m trying to instal the uphuck 10.4.9 for intel on my system and no matter what conbination of Kernel/Video i try, every time i try to boot the system it will give me the Kernel Panic screen.

i don´t where the problem might be because the instalation proces is without hazle.

my system hardare is as folows:

Intel 955x chipset

Pentium D 950 3.4ghz

i´ll apreciate your help.

Thank you

when i use -v mode the boot stops at:

What??

You might want to try and check off "remove power management". My mobo specs are close to yours. I'm using the GMA950 video instead of the nVidia 6800 xt that you have and it booted right up.

Give it ago,

i'm using the Conroe-945G , Intell 945 chip's... with the version 1.3 of uphuck i have no trouble, but the v1.4_r2 comes with kernel_panic...

so i'll go and check my BIOS to 'powermanagement' , is that right ?

No that's not correct. When you are checking off drivers and such in the install you want to check off the "remove power management". I can't remember where it is exactly, but if you look in all the tabs you will find it.

Chevy,

this worked great!! i was able to boot for the first time!

now i have ton install all the other drivers

thank again!!

Dude!! I'm so glad you got it going. :yoji: You are very welcome.
