Hello,

I am trying to install the Leopard WWDC beta on my eMac G4 700 on a separate partition.

For some reason, when the install boots, it tells me "your computer is not compatible with Mac Os X 10.5".

I don't see why that would happen. As far as I know, Leopard requires a G4 processor, but not a specific speed.

Can anyone help???

thanks!!

Yes it checks for cpu speed also. What's more it fails to account for dual CPUs that are powerful enough too.

You can edit the appropriate files as needed or just search for G4 & OSInstall.mpkg and you'll find a post that has a link to the altered file you need to swap. (Either reburn DVD or copy the image to a partition and it will work.)

Running on my Dual G4 500Mhz for this post.
