HackintoshNoob
Great site! This is my first post. After lots of reading and a great deal of trial and error I think I know where my problem is in my install of JAS's 10.4.8. Specs MOBO - Intel D945GC(cr) CPU - 3.2 Ghz Celeron D Installing both natively and through VMware I get to the point where I have to create a journalized partition using the Disk utility. I can see my 10gig drive and I can select erase and partition. No problems there. However nothing seems to happen afterwards. I'm pretty sure this has to do with the Disk Utility bug in 10.4.8. What I'm doing now is download a VMware image of 10.4.7 and the iso for Jas's 10.4.6. From what I understand I should be able to use the disk utility in 10.4.6. OK here's the question: Has anyone made a small ISO that contains a working version of the OS X disk utility so I don't have to go through the 4gig download? Also am I out to lunch or on the right track? Is my hardware decent? Thanks.

Guest Ramm
You can simply take a disk utility from another distro (unfortunately, there aren't any "small" ones), format it, then install with the 10.4.8 DVD.
HackintoshNoob
The iso for 10.4.6 finally came in. Used the disk utility there. Now we're getting somewhere. Fingers crossed.
