derek1800
Alright, I am struggling to get my sound and wireless to work (Uphuck 1.4i) . I am not so much concerned with the wifi as I am with sound. I have done some research and followed some of the guides but still no luck. I tried the AppleAC97Audio.kext and it seems like everything goes well except no sound comes through the speakers or headphones. I can adjust the volume, and in the audio midi setup under output it shows two channels. Unfortunately, I cant change it to 6 channels like some of the solutions mentioned. Could it be because of the .kext I got is wrong? Are there some different ones to try? If anyone could point me in a direction that would be great. If anyone can help a newbie out I would greatly appreciate it Thanks, D Here is what I know about my Laptop: Laptop: Gateway Mx3230 Processor Intel® Celeron® M Processor 370 1 MB L2 Cache | 1.5 GHz | 400 MHz FSB Chipset Via VN800 Audio AC '97 2.3 Compliant audio Network 10/100 Mbps built-in Ethernet 802.11g integrated Wireless (up to 54 Mbps) SecureEasySetup™ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58083-help-getting-sound-working/ Share on other sites

Oracle67
Dont have big expectations about audio... Try this (ASUS WL-167g USB2.0 WLAN Adapter -key type) to solve wireless problem.
