alexp Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 I installed OSX on my P4 machine using deadmoo's image.. All seems to work perfectly, except safari... When i go to certain websites, like this board, it crashes and a gray screen saying that i must restart my computer comes up.... Why this? i installed all the possible patches, since i'm using a SSE2 machine... Can you use safari without problems? axan2006 Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 You need to install the second version of Maxxus's Rosetta patch, as well as the most up to date CoreGraphics patch and oah and oahd patches. This will fix the problem, though after patching safari will behave a bit erratically. eightballx Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 Not only that but you need to remove all japanese fonts and .otf fonts from your system... i beleive there is a topic on this board around it.. im too lazy to find it but the reason behind the crashes is that ATSserver keeps crashing (look at console) If you remove these troublesome files then DeerPark and safari no longer crash... also this problem can be solved by checking Open In Rosetta for the safari properties. Now i'll try with the second version of the patch, but i can't find it, the osx86 forum is down...
