How do you mount a partition

Recommended Posts

In Disk Utility itself, you can select the volume then click the "Mount" button in the top-right-ish area. You can also use terminal and type in "mount -uw <disk_ident>"

ok when i hit mount, absolutely nothing happens

would there be a reason for this

ive tried using empty space

ive tried using a fat32 primary parition

and a linux swap primary partition

none of them will erase or mount

all appear as "not mounted"

Sorry to revive this dead topic but this is happening to me, I have mac.nub's 10.4.10 v1 r5 and i do not get any Drives showing up to install OSX on. I cannot Erase or mount the partitions in Disk Utility, but i can see them! I have one FAT32 and the other is my Vista Partition. Anyone have a fix?
