gementricxs117
What updates to the 8f1111 release I need in order to install it on Pentium M Centrino processor? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5796-installing-on-pentium-m/ Share on other sites
Technobob
I would recommend you run 8F1099 for Pentium M. I have had many issues with 8F1111 it's still not stable for SSE2 CPU's. My 8F1099 install is stable with only a few issues with programs but no system crashes unlike 8F1111 that crashes at random. gementricxs117
Ok, but I downloaded the 8F1111 release and I don't want to download another release, I just want to try it. I downloaded the patches from Maxxuss, how can I install them? Technobob
What patches did you download ? You can try these PPF files from JaS more easier to use the using Maxxuss patches. The PPF files are still using Maxxuss patches but just in a easier to use form. 1111a SSE3 and SSE3 emulation No NX/DX Cpuid Fix RTC patch PPF http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=5709&hl= 1111A Install PPF (SSE3-SSE3-emulation-No NX/DX-Cpuid fix) http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=5710&hl= PPF-O-Matic Program http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_ppf.shtml Edited December 14, 2005 by Technobob Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5796-installing-on-pentium-m/#findComment-36607 Share on other sites
gementricxs117
I convert dmg to iso, applied the patches and then burned it with TransMac, but the dvd doesn't boot on my laptop. Actually it says non-emulating booting and that's all, it's doing nothing. (When I install windows, it also says non-emulating booting, but then it says, start to install by pressing some key). But here, it does nothing. I tried the dvd on different computer and there it's ok, it boot and want to start installing. Unfortunately, I can't install it on this computer, I must install it on my laptop. Do you think that it has something to do with the bios? On my laptop is "Insyde" bios.
