roli
I just can have any luck with this damn thing! So I tryed to install OsX86 on my computer, but i coudn't. I just got this error: So then I tryed instlling it trough Vmware and it installed it just good but I still cant get this thing to work. I just get that stupid error. I think that problem is graphic card because I can't install some linux distributions either. But if I change VESA mode to something else I can install all of them. Is it posible to run that damn darwin in other than VESA? SO configuration is: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ socket AM2 MSI K9N NEO-F Motherboard Sapphire ATI Radeon x800GTO Fireblade edition PCI-E 1GB DDR2 RAM Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57861-unable-to-boot/ Share on other sites

roli
I used OSX 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2, SSE3 Jas disc. I don't have original file anymore so I don't realy know what was written but I know that it was Jas 10.4.8 AMD. In thing that displays during install that you have to fress F8 after installation and type -v -s..... And then ./patcher 10.4.8.AMD.CPUID.txt. So I booted this in wmvare and tryed that but I just get "cannot open patch descripion file..." I tryed older versions (10.4.6, 10.4.4) and UI just get please restart your computer. If I type -v then I get something like that on first picture. But I am not realy sure anymore that this is because VESA. Because if I check montor OSD I see that resolution is 1024x768 at freezing point. I read about many other people here having the same problem, but haven't found an answer. My system is here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=59703 . However, I tried installing with the Tubgirl release and the installation booted, but stuck where you have to choose a hard drive and the partition utility won't do anything (maybe the hard drive isn't compatible). Vaggelis100
Yes. In the readme it says SATA DOESN'T WORK on nF430/MCP51 USE PATA. I don't know if that has anything to do with my installation not finding a destination on the hard drive (although I have nVidia nForce 550 chipset). flyingbanana
I have that nF430 which is said that it doesn't work with sata. But now I'm getting some progress: I managed to boot to installation program still having same problem with you(disk utility doesn't work properly with my sata drives so that i could install...) Hope that next tubgirl(doesn't actually matters whos release is it...) release will have buildin sata support with nForce chipset...
