sonicreducer Posted July 22, 2007 Share Posted July 22, 2007 I've got an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ with 2GB RAM on an ECS KN1 Lite board. Video is an nVidia 6200TC. I've got some SATA drives and was hoping to use one of them for my Os X install but I've been unable to do so. My first attempt was just a trial run with a spare 10GB Old IDE hard drive. It worked perfectly and the only think that wasn't recognized that I had to install drivers for was the video. So, the successful trial complete I tried to install on my 200GB SATA drive - it installs but then during the first reboot it hangs up with a circle with a line through it. Kind of like a do not enter sign without the words. Anyway - I go back to an IDE install with a nice 40GB ATA 133 drive I have (but didn't want to use) and everything works well except SATA. I look in the hardware info and the SATA isn't recognized at all. Well, I knew it was a long shot with the AMD hardware and all so I don't expect much and with the 40GB drive it works well enough. PRoblem is that drive's pretty loud and old and all... Anyway - Just looking for some guidance on the issue. Not sure it can be resolved or not. Thanks!
